Driving….
I love driving my car - and my bike for that matter. The bike will always be first love. It’s amazing - the feeling of freedom that comes with the wind in your hair. It just feels like you are flying - till you start hitting the potholes. At that stage you are too busy trying not to fall of the bike - which has suddenly become a bucking bronco. Bike driving is even more fun in the rains. You see, most of the roads here - atleast the roads we use are mud roads. So, when the rains fall, these roads become slush. Also what happens is that the roads achieve the consistency of chocolate. Thus as you drive, your front and rear wheels mostly decide to go off in different directions, making bike control a lot of fun.
You know, I used to think driving at night used to be fun. Empty roads and no people. Was in for a rude shock last night. Dropped my sis off at her college at 2AM. She had a 4AM train to catch. Was driving back through a clear road and all of a sudden there is this auto dude in front of me. No lights, no indicator. He just cut in front of me. Luckily was able to brake in time. No point screaming at him. He’s just used to driving this way. Drove more carefully after that. This just robs the fun out of driving.
Anyway, car driving is also pretty fun. It also shows you how badly people actually drive. You can’t make this out while driving a bike. Becomes very obvious in a car. A lot of my friends tell me that car driving is fun only the first year. Then it gets tiresome. I am reserving judgement on that issue. So far, it’s been fun.
That’s all folks.Till next time….
