It’s Alive!

A couple of posts back, I wrote that Colibri and Snarl were “dead in the water”. Well, it seems that I am only partially right.

I had written to Michael Walter (creator of Colibri) a few days back and when no response came immediately (read : in a day), I assumed that he was no longer developing it. But, to my great delight, I received this mail :

Hi AC,

I’ll release a new version within 1-2 weeks.

Regards,
Michael

Here is a feature list I would love to see on the new release - though I am sure these will take time.

1) Integration with Winamp - i.e Play next/previous song, stop and pause
2) Customization of scanned folders
3) Shinier interface :)
4) Bookmark ability with Firefox

The list just goes on - I want Quicksilver for the PC!

Anyway, I have never been happier to be wrong.

Until next time - watch *this* space!
